You are getting older. No matter what you do to keep in shape , the fact is that you are getting older by the second… just by reading this you came a few minutes closer to retirement… how is that for a depressing thought! To top it all your memory is also getting worse – here today – gone tomorrow.
When Ole Jensen designed the Collect bookcase he thought of the third age. He wanted to create a piece of furniture that would help him remember the things that really mattered to him – when he was younger.
We all surround ourselves with products – most of them are just nice to have, but some of them actually mean something special to us. A football that reminds you of that perfect game. A pair of shades that represents the wildest summer in your life, or the book that acturally did make a difference in your life.
Filling the Collect bookcase with things is almost like going to an island where you can only bring a few things. It does’nt have unlimited rooms, and some of them have an odd shape. How would you prioritise?
Click below to see some of the things we would put in our Collect bookcase:
Michael would bring LEGO – because it has been a big part of my life – and still is. Take a closer look at Bjarnes Whale.
Laura would bring her teddybear named “Lamseben” – he has always been with me and he would be the first thing I would grab in case of an fire.
Peter would bring a Golfball – I want to remember my first hole in one – an awesome feeling.
Johanne would bring her Gucci sunglasses – it reminds me of the great time I had in New York while living there in 2004-2005.
It would be fun if you would tell us what you would bring – just add it in the Comments field – thanks
